| With my new wheels and deleteing the hicas I have found out that I am out of alignment and the ball joints on the HICAS tie rods are worn. With these questions keep in mind I want to keep my car as streetable as possible with durability and ride smoothness/quality being the biggest concerns. But I also want a suspension adjustable enough to run the wheels I do and be able to handle and perform in the best possible way for the power I am putting to the ground(~500whp). I am looking for a median of both straight line accelerating(speeding up and braking) performance and cornering performance. A few questions I have are, What are the differences between having spl spherical bearings or spc stiffened rubber bushings in the suspension components? Are all energy suspension bushings considered a very good upgrade except for the tension rods? I read an topic on here where greg d. of specialty z said that SPL spherical bushings as a better upgrade than the ES bushing. For a street car is a top rubber mount recommended more than a pillow ball? A local told me that pillow balls are only ment for race and to be used in dry sunny weather. He also told me that it makes for a much harsher but more accurate response through the car. While I would like a more accurate response I do not like the idea of compromising for a harsher ride. For the rear HICAS delete instead of buying new ball joints I am looking into just buying the SPL NA toe arm brackets and using them with the SPC NA toe arm with the stiffened rubber bushing. My concern would be that for the price it makes me wonder how reliable the rubber bushing is as it is considerable cheaper than the spherical bearing SPL setup. For the rear upper control arm I was also looking at SPC's adjustable version, I also noticed it appeared NISMO's version looked to be consisting of a spherical bearing similar to SPL's version. I would however be more comfortable going with the NISMO brand than SPC as I do not know how durable SPC parts are. Are most of the nismo parts considered a better upgrade to the energy suspension or about the same? How are the NISMO rear lower control arms different than stock? So my conclusion would be to use stiffer rubber bushings when possible except for the tension rods which should use a bearing. Would this be accurate for the setup I am aiming for? Still not sure whether to use rubber top mounts or pillow balls. Advantages/disadvantages? The coilover setups I am looking at are...
